Eligibility for B.E.: (4 year Bachelor Degree)

Eligibility for B.Arch: (5 year Bachelor Degree)

The student should have passed 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory, English as one of the language and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in qualifying examination 45% of marks in case of a candidate belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes(Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), and should compulsorily appear for NATA [National Aptitude Test in Architecture] and get a minimum of 40% in it (including SC, ST and Other Backward Classes).

Loyola gives preference to the students coming from the neighbouring districts. The inclusive tradition of loyola welcomes students from other states and countries. Women students may apply for all the Post Graduate ourses and also for VISCOM, B.M.M. (Animation) and French in Under Graduate courses. Students who have completed the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Course or any other course recognized by the University of Madras as equivalent to it, are eligible for admission to the bachelor's degree course. The applicants who have passed the following examination should submit an eligibility certificate rom the University of Madras.

  • Higher Secondary or equivalent examination conducted by all other State Boards except Tamil Nadu
  • All degree (UG/PG) examinations conducted by any university other than University of Madras / foreign countries
  • If the results are not published for any board before the last date of submission of application, the students are asked to meet the Admission Officer within 3 days after the publication of the results.

Application Procedure can be done in the following ways:

  1. Select Indian Overseas Banks: Application forms can be collected by paying a cash of Rs.150/- for UG and Rs.200/- for all PG courses from Select Indian Overseas Banks (IOBs) {For SC/ST candidates, the cost of application forms for UG is Rs.123/- and for PG course is  Rs. 158/- The SC/ST candidates can give the proof of their community certificate (The attested photocopy of the community certificate) and buy the form from Loyola College IOB Branch). 
  2. Online Form: Read the instruction carefully before filling in the Application Forms. The Online Application Forms will be available in the college website, in the menu 'Admissions' (Application Forms).After the Online Registration, kindly send the Demand Draft of Rs.150/- for the UG and Rs.200/- for the PG forms inclusivee of Processing Charges. Demand Draft in favour of "The Principal, Loyola College, Chennai - 600 034". Kindly take print out of the application forms as mentioned the Online Application Number, Candidates name and course/subject in th e otherside of the Demand Draft.
  3. By Post: Send a Demand Draft of Rs.200/- for the UG and Rs.250/- for the PG forms inclusive of the Processing Charges. Demand Draft should be in favour of "The Principal, Loyola College, Chennai - 600 034" with a covering letter specifying the following details:
    1. Course name with the subject code number
    2. Shift (Shift - I or Shift 2)
    3. Applicant's name
    4. Complete postal address with pincode
    5. Contact Phone number preferably Mobile Number

All the above details should be mentioned on the reserse side of the Demand Draft (DD).

Selection Process: 

INTERVIEW: At the time of interview the original documents of all certificates enclosed with admission application should be produced for verification (See, How to Fill, page 7 of the prospectus).

Communication will be sent only to those who are provisionally selected. They have to present themselves/along with parents for interview with the Principal on the date mentioned in the call-letter. Their absence on the scheduled date will only lead to cancellation of Admission.

The information of selection is sent by post / SMS. Also, their application status will be available at www.loyolacollege.edu from the last week of May 2015.

ENTRANCE TEST:  An Entrance test for all PG students will be conducted and followed by a personal interview. Students should produce all the original documents for verification at the time of interview. The last date for submitting the application for all PG courses: 13.06.2015 (Saturday).

The Entrance test for all PG courses will be on 17.06.2015 (Wednesday).
