Important Dates:

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who fulfill the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the Entrance Test, namely:

  • Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI from time to time.
  • To be eligible for admission to MBBS course, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or other Backward Classes the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40%
  • To be eligible for admission to BDS course, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or other Backward Classes the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40%
  • Must be 17 or more years of age as on 31-12-2016
  • Must be a citizen of India.

Mode of conducting the Test:

  • Entrance Test will be computer based test.
  • Medium of Entrance Test shall be English.
  • Each question carries one mark. Correct answer will be awarded one mark.
  • There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Test will be of 3 hours duration consisting of 180 multiple choice questions (3 sections of 60 questions each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology).
  • Questions shall be of multiple choice type, each having one correct (best response) out of four alternatives.

Entrance Test Fee: Rs.1750 and mode of payment ONLINE

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Any candidate who has already passed or appearing in March 2016 in the 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council shall be eligible to appear in the Entrance Test.
  • The admission of a candidate to the Entrance Test shall be provisional. It shall stand cancelled, if s/he fails to satisfy the requisite eligibility conditions laid down by Panjab University by the date fixed for the admission. Such candidate will not have any claim, whatsoever, with regard to her/his admission to the said course.
  • The candidature of a candidate who is appearing in 10+2 examination in 21 March 2016, shall stand cancelled if s/he fails to pass or gets reappear or fails to secure the prescribed percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.
