GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi introduces B. A. (Hons.) Economics in all its affiliated colleges from this academic session. Those interested may apply:

Important Dates:

  • Start of Application for submission of CET: May 15, 2017
  • Last date of Application for submission of CET: June 16, 2017
  • Date & Time of Entrance Test: July 8, 2017 from 10:30 am to 01:30 pm

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates with an aggregate of 50% marks in 10+2 level examination from a recognized state and central government board with compulsory mathematics at 10+2 level 

Mode & Pattern of Test:

The admission to the course would be based on a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University. The common entrance exam shall comprise of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Candidates would be assessed based on their knowledge and skills in general English, Economics, Statistics & Mathematical Skills at 10+2 level as per the following broad examination criteria:

  • General English - 20%
  • Economics and Statistics - 40%
  • Mathematics - 40%

The reservation policies of the GGS Indraprastha University will be applicable for the admission to the B.A (Hons.) Economics programme.

Eligibility Criteria For B. Sc. Nursing:

  • Candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination/ Indian School Certificates Examination (12 years course) or an examination recognized as equivalent with 50% or more marks in aggregate of 4 subjects including English core/ Elective, Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the student has passed in each subject separately.
  • Minimum age requirement is 17 years by 1st October, 2017. The Vice Chancellor may, however, on the basis of individual merit relax the age up to a maximum period of one year.
  • Only women candidates are eligible for the course

Pattern of the Test & Duration & Syllabus:

  • The selection test will be of two hours and thirty minutes (2 ½ hrs) duration. It shall contain multiple choice questions. It will be based on senior secondary school certificate (10+2) curriculum of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and also include some items on English comprehension and General knowledge in health.

Eligibility Criteria for GNM:

  • 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum 40% at the qualifying examination.
  • English shall not be included for calculating the percentage.
  • List of the subjects to be considered for admission is given below.
    • Any four subjects including English (three subjects + English) from the list given below are to be considered for admission. Student must have passed in all the subjects of 10+2 (five subjects as per C.B.S.E policy) a) Physics b) Chemistry c) Biology d) Mathematics e) English f) Commerce g) Accountancy h) Economics i) Business Studies j) Computer Science/Informatics Practice / Word Processing / Multimedia k) History l) Geography m) Civics n) Sociology o) Psychology p) Political Science q) Home Science

Mode of Selection for GNM: The selection test will be of two hours (2 hrs) duration and shall contain multiple choice (objective type) items. The test will be based on secondary school certificate (10th) curriculum of Science, Maths and some items of English comprehension.

Total number of Intake Seats:

  • B. Sc. Nursing: 50 
  • Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifer: 30

Application Fee

  • B. Sc. Nursing: Rs.600/-
  • Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery: Rs. 400/-

Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental Colleges of Karnataka announces COMEDK - 2017

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK)- Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association has announced that COMEDK UGET – 2017 Entrance Examination will be held on 14th May 2017 (Sunday) for admission to Engineering Courses in COMEDK member institutions.

  • Last date for online payments and Last date for submission of completed Application Online: 20th April, 2017
  • Date of ComedK UGET Exam: 14th May, 2017

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates from all over the country can appear for the UGET 2017 entrance examination. The eligibility criterion for various programs has been as published by COMEDK in its Notification dated 05.12.2016 on its website www.comedk.org which is reproduced as under:-

For UG Engineering Courses

  • The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E. is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.
  • The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE will be adopted.
  • An attempt in the COMEDK Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank list.
  • Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.

Note: The candidates shall submit the original marks card of the examination during counseling for proving their eligibility vis-a-vis marks scored as evidenced by the original marks card

For UG Architecture Courses

  • The prescribed qualifying examination for admission to B. Arch course is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka).
  • The candidates should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 marks for both General Merit and Category students.
  • There shall be no Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B. Arch Course.
  • Candidates seeking B. Arch course shall submit separate application form.

Note: Notwithstanding the eligibility criteria mentioned as above, the changes, if any, effected by MCI, DCI, AICTE / VTU, COA or any other competent Regulatory Authorities shall be adopted mutatis mutandis.
